Zafar A. Sheik, MD

Zafar A. Sheik, MD, a native of Cleveland, joined Warren Ophthalmology Associates in September of 2001 and purchased the practice in July of 2003.

He is currently the Chief of Ophthalmology at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Warren. Dr. Sheik came to the Warren area after completing a fellowship in Corneal and Refractive Surgery at Allegheny General Hospital and the University of Pittsburgh.

He is one of only two fellowship trained corneal surgeons practicing in the Mahoning Valley. He is a board certified fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology as well as a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

Dr. Sheik specializes in small incision cataract surgery, refractive surgery, and corneal transplants.

He graduated from the Medical College of Ohio and completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Maryland. He received his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University.

Dr. Sheik currently lives with his wife, and two sons, in Canfield.
